White Sands national park has always been a magical place for me. The soft white dunes are perfect for sledding, digging, or walking over. When I was growing up, our family would visit here often, we we have family in nearby Las Cruces. My memories of White sands are tied up with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents.
I have loved passing on the wonder of this magical place to my own family now.

ReplyDeleteNever been there. Should add it to my list. Did think briefly of going to Las Cruces years ago for a conference at the end of July, but was busy and was warned about general toastiness at that time of year. Glad the kids are enjoying. Maybe they could practice jumping the sand waves there as part of working up to West Coast beach waves. 😉
