Our youngest turned 3. It does feel like we're reaching some big milestones in our family life: no babies, no diaper bag, and no mandatory afternoon naptime.
To celebrate, we hiked among the cacti near Tucson. Honestly, I find the saguaro cactus hilarious. They look so different from plant life I am accustomed to. I found myself laughing often.
We had our first experience camping on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land. We boondocked (without power, water, etc). Overall, it went well, although there were some who protested the lack of bathrooms and showers.
Saguaro National Park was interesting, but looked much the same as the rest of the desert, except for the saguaros sticking up everywhere. 😆
We didn't know it but we were in Tucson at the same time. :) We hope you enjoyed the desert in all its uniqueness. Having lived there 15 years the beauty of Arizona's divers landscape and nature has become a special reminder of God's greatness to us. Enjoy your exploration of God's amazing diversity in creation.
