Houston to San Antonio isn't really a day-trip... it's about 3.5 hours one-way. But we did it anyway!
First, a stop at Buc-ee's!
Once in San Antonio, we enjoyed a beautiful boat ride down the river, admiring the view and relaxing a bit.
Next, Blue Bell ice cream!
We enjoyed a little down time at a beautiful spot, waiting for a table to eat a late lunch. We were joined by family that lives in town and spent the evening at their home before heading back to our camper (it was nearly 1am when we got back..a bit late for us old people!
And of course, Remember the Alamo!
It was a very short trip, but we loved the beauty of the Riverwalk and the history of the old city.
