We took a day trip to historic Charleston, South Carolina. The architecture here was wonderful.
Many of the houses here had plaques dating them to the late 1700s!! We parked on a little side road, complete with the historic cobblestones.
For lunch, we found a little place serving pizza by the slice, a huge slice! The kids loved it.
We did a little shopping in the open air market,
walked through some residential areas in the rain
And enjoyed ice cream cookie sandwiches before we headed back to the camper.
We had hoped to explore the historical sites a bit more, but rain and grumpy young ones cut the tour to a drive-by photo op.
